40 Years in the making

(Paul) My journey in to Organic foods and the Ethics of business began as a shocked boy in Malaysia witnessing the destruction of tropical rainforest to make way for palm oil.

 

This led to a degree in agriculture and food marketing at Aberystwyth University, pursuing a young mans dream to save the world through systemic change.


40 years on, after grubbing around picking organic carrots in Welsh fields, I introduced the first organic orange juice to the UK and sold organic Suffolk apples to London's Covent Garden Fruit market in the 1980's. I have also been privileged to work with pioneering companies such as Crazy Jack Organic who helped found the Good Food Foundation bringing organic dried fruits nuts and seeds to the British public. 


In addition, I have been appointed a non-executive director of the Organic Trade Board (OTB) promoting the growth of the UK Organic sector via this leading UK trade forum. 


Outside foods, I have been heavily engaged in the strategy and development of non food brands such as "If You Care" with ethics and sustainability at their heart.


Organic and Ethical trading is at the heart of my whole purpose in life and provides drive for WMA and our mission.

(Scott) With a true passion for human and ecological heath, I have been advancing and managing sales territories for 12 years across various roles.  


My early experience was developed in the Healthcare and Novel Drug Production sector, overseeing project, personnel and sales management in the UK, European, Middle Eastern and Australian markets.


 I am proud to have overseen the sale and installation of 20 custom built infection prevention units deployed to the Middle East to help combat the MERS-CoV and MDRO outbreak of 2014. I have also overseen the sale and project management of the largest high containment solutions acquired by the Australian government during the construction of a world class animal health facility, looking to further the prevention of deadly infections and diseases to native species.  


At present, in line with my personal ethos, I am pleased to be contributing to the Organic and Ecological market here are WMA, managing brand sales, marketing strategy and client relations within this genuinely rewarding sector. 


Outside of WMA, I have a keen passion for film photography, bike riding and the beauty of outdoors. Walking, exploring and admiring tick all the boxes for my downtime and family holidays.
